The hardest part for me to believe is that this is a 'book 1' which leads one to believe there are more of these books out there. That's just amazing.The Good: The book is short. The concept is solid.
The Bad: The characters are not developed. The plot is not developed. I couldn't get invested in the characters at all. Certainly, not enough to read 'Book 2'. The editing is totally absent.
The Ugly: The steamy scenes were just ugly. They were cheaply done, they were just bad. These kind of scenes are best when they are built up little by little until they build into a powerful climax then fall back down gently.
I have confidence that with more experience and a little help this author could write wonderful things one day. Sadly, The Alpha Prince just isn't it.

I love the "plot" of the book. Lowly hotel gal ends up working as the go to person for a visiting prince. The whole story was great up until she was in the same room as him. It almost seemed as if the author wrote the whole book with only one hand, if you know what I mean. The scenes were so rushed. "He did this, she did that, they did this, and it was done." Not even being able to call the "prince" or "his highness" by a name other than those mentioned was a real turnoff for me. I won't even get into editing, because that is something I can sometimes overlook. I am not the best with grammar and such, but I am also not an author. (Though, You would think those 2 go hand in hand.) All of a sudden about 90% of the way through the book, His Highness invites her to his home, and there has been almost NO conversation between the 2 up to this point other than "what do you do" or "where do you live".
I usually don't write reviews for FREE books, because if it was a waste of time, at least it wasn't a waste of money. I was so enticed by the plot for the books, I nabbed all 3 for my kindle. The super short story, being free, and all being out right now was almost too good to be true, right? Yep! Too good to be true. Upon reading the 1st book, I immediately deleted it from my kindle library, as well as the 2 I haven't read. I have much better books to read- in my opinion.
To sum it up- I imagine the author might be a 16 year old virgin just learning about her body, and writing what she envisions as hot, steamy, and sexy. To a 27 year old mother, this was NOT up my alley. Best of luck to the author, with a bit more conversation, back story, dialog, and ROMANCE... they could probably turn out a pretty heady story. 'Till then, not so much.
I read this pretty quickly, good little read. I would have to say in needed a little bit more editing.
I would have liked this short a little more if there weren't so many editing issues. The story itself has promise and there is a good amount of heat.
If we could all find a hot sexy prince to take care of. I can't wait to see what happens in book two.
A really enjoyed this story. The characters and plot are well-developed, the scenes are hot and the ending sets-up well for the next installment. I'll be looking forward to reading more from this author.
